Farm: Isnul Estate
Altitude: 1,443 – 1,900
Tasting notes: Cocoa, Blackberry and Roasted Hazelnut. Incredible mouthfeel and good acidity.
From the northwest side of Guatemela, in La Democracia, Huehuetenango, comes this outstanding coffee, full of cocoa and berry fruits, and with a mouthfeel that makes us feel like we’re drinking pure silk. This is a winner.
Alfonso Anzueto is of the third generation farmer on the estate, after his family bought the farm over 40 years ago. They pride themselves on the quality of their coffee, and their socialogical impact on the environment – with 10 hectares of natural forest on the plantation, and the re-use of the water used in the mill for the processing the coffee, they are working hard to look after their resources.
Isnul Estate produces around 2,927 bags of coffee a year, of which only 10% is Pacamara. This big bean produces awesome flavours and body.
